Transport City to provide mobility boost to Gurgaon realty

Gurgaon administration’s plan to develop Transport City will considerably improve mobility which in turn will provide impetus to real estate growth.

The proposal to develop Transport City in Gurgaon has been hanging fire for last several years. Now it has finally seen the light of the day as Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has prepared the lay out plan of the much awaited Transport City. As soon as it gets a nod from the Haryana Transport Department, the work will start on this premier project. Transport City will come up in Sector 34. Originally it was planned over 100 acre by the erstwhile government but now due to non- availability of such a large tract of land, the Transport Nagar will be developed over 37 acre. Gurgaon being an automobile hub, Transport City will house facilities like a workshop, spare parts outlets, booking offices of transporters. Besides, it will have a parking space for up to 300 vehicles.

Says Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder & Chairman, Signature Global and Chairman Assocham National Council on Real Estate, Housing and Urban Development, ” In the absence of a Transport City, big trucks and trailers are parked on the roadsides, causing traffic bottlenecks, adversely impacting vehicular movement on city roads. The upcoming Transport City will put an end to the parking mess. This mobility boost in turn will improve the quality of life, an enabler for the growth of real estate”.
