Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority’s (GMDA) plan to revamp Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) with three flyovers and two underpasses, resulting in traffic decongestion, will help boost both residential and commercial property in Gurugram.
The GMDA is preparing a detailed plan to decongest a 7-km stretch of the 12-km long SPR from Ghata to Vatika Chowk on Sohna Road. The Rs 281 crore redevelopment plan of the SPR will witness two underpasses coming up at Vatika Chowk and Sector 55-56 intersection. There is also a plan to build three flyovers at Rajesh Pilot Chowk,Tigara Turn and the four lane intersection between Sectors 49/50 and 65/66 to turn the SPR into an arterial road to ease the flow of traffic on NH 48.
Says Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder & Chairman, Signature Global, :” The SPR assumes great significance as it connects Faridabad, Gurugram, Sohna and Manesar. Its revamp will help in tackling traffic congestion, leading to easy commute. This will help residential and commercial developments along SPR. This decongestion plan will also give boost developments on Sohna Road and new sectors on NH8 up to Manesar”.
