With the 12 km portion of the Sohna elevated road, connecting Badshahpur with Sohna already opened this month and the remaining 9 km stretch of the 6-lane signal free expressway between Rajiv Chowk on NH8 and Badshahpur set to open in June, South of Gurgaon real estate will get a major connectivity and mobility boost.
The 21 km long Sohna elevated road costing Rs 1300 crore faced delays due to several reasons including outbreak of Covid pandemic. The entire project running alongside several busy stretches such as the Netaji Subhash Marg and Southern Peripheral Road, besides having a link to 1380 km long Delhi-Mumbai Expressway , Is being constructed in two phases, The second phase of the project- a 13 km stretch from Badshahpur to Sohna , comprising flyovers at Bhondsi, Damdama, Ghamroj, Alipur, sohna ki Dhani was opened for traffic on April 1. The first phase from Rajiv Chowk to Subhash Chowk – a 7km stretch comprising a flyover and an underpass near Subhash Chowk and an elevated road starting ahead of Subhash Chowk and going beyond Badshahpur, bypassing Vatika Chowk, is set to be completed in June. As such, the entire expressway linking Rajiv Chowk with Sohna, will be thrown open for traffic in June this year.
The six-lane expressway that will ensure signal free ride to commuters , will provide a big boost to connectivity , ensuring faster mobility to commuters. And this in turn will provide a major fillip to Gurgaon real estate in general and South of Gurgaon real estate in particular , that has already made its place among the top locations in not just the Delhi-NCR but across India.This will facilitate significant appreciation in property prices in this area which has of late seen massive development in the form of affordable and premium residential and commercial projects. Sohna elevated Road’s further connectivity to Faridabad/Palwal and beyond to Yamuna Expressway , will serve as a booster for the NCR real estate as a whole.
