Haryana government’s recent decision to redevelop and upgrade city’s main
railway station and connect it with five railway lines of Rohtak, Rewari,
Ambala, Chandigarh, Mathura and Jaipur, will turn out to be a big
connectivity booster for real estate development along Dwarka Expressway and
other areas of New Gurugram.
According to Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (HRIDC),
following the approval from Haryana government, the work on preparing the
draft plan of this project has been initiated. Garhi Harsuru station in
Gurugram will be the nodal station for all the five railway lines chosen to
be connected with Gurugram. Garhi Harsaru has a major locational advantage
in the sense that it will be connecting both Dwarka Expressway and NH-8,
thereby benefiting lakhs of residents of Gurugram.
Says Pradeep Aggarwal, Chairman, Assocham National Council on Real Estate,
Housing and Urban Development and Founder & Chairman, Signature Global, ”
This is a welcome and much needed move to upgrade Gurugram’s rail
infrastructure to help boost its connectivity with other parts of NCR and
northern India in view of rapid urbanisation. This will make commuting for
daily travellers much easier ,especially between Gurugram and Delhi .This
will particularly benefit the residents living along Dwarka Expressway and
newly developed sectors of New Gurugram along NH8. And all this, in turn
will provide a big thrust to real estate development”.
