With Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) set to commission a 66kv dedicated electricity substation to supply uninterrupted power to Chandu Budhera Water treatment Plant in Sector 100 on Dwarka Expressway by December, residents of Sector 58-115 in New Gurugram can hope to get round the clock water supply.
According to GMDA authorities, the work on the substation that started six months back is 80% complete and it will become fully operational by December. Currently, due to uninterrupted power supply, Chandu Budhera Water Treatment Plant that supplies water to all the sectors of New Gurugram , is not even running at half of its capacity of 500 million gallons per day.But once power substation becomes operational, water supply is likely to be normalized in New Gurugram.
Says Pradeep Aggarwal, Chairman, National Council of Real Estate, Housing and Urban Development and Founder & Chairman, Signature Global, ” Infrastructure deficiency in New Gurugram has been adversely impacting the quality of life of its residents . Potable drinking water is the basic daily necessity of residents. The power infrastructure upgradation will improve water supply, in turn raising the living index and making property attractive in these sectors”.
