Mega warehousing project in Manesar to boost real estate in New Gurgaon

Haryana government’s nod to allot land to leading retailer Flipkart for setting up a big warehousing facility in Manesar will act as an investment magnet to boost real estate in New Gurgaon.

In a recent meeting of the Haryana Enterprise Promotion Board (HEPB), the state Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar approved the proposal to allot 140 acre land to Flipkart in Manesar. This land belongs to Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation(HSIIDC). The leading retailer Flipkart will be acquiring this land to  develop a massive 3 msf warehousing facility. Flipkart Group company  Instakart Service Private Limited will be setting up this facility as a supply centre for Asia. Flipkart that acquired Walmart India last year, had launched Flipkart Wholesale, a digital marketplace. Instakart has plans to set up a pan-India chain of logistics infra and supply centres to boost market growth. It will also set up a regional distribution centre. According to Flipkart, the upcoming facility will provide direct and indirect employment to 16000 people. Thus, a need for housing will generate in the area where sector 81, 92 and 95 of new Gurgaon can cater to it perfectly as developers like Signature Global are all set to come up with new projects here.

Flipkart’s mega warehousing project in Manesar will provide further fillip to industrial real estate. In view of the Centre and Haryana government’s policies to promote ease of doing business, Flipkart’s project will further boost the environment – friendly environment. This in turn will drive real estate development in the city, particularly in New Gurgaon “.
