The recent nod given by the Forest Department of Haryana to the land in Panchgaon (Gurugram), decks have been cleared for the shifting of Kherki Daula toll plaza to Panchgaon which in turn will help speed up the growth of real estate in New Gurgaon.
Kherki Daula toll plaza has been posing as a major stumbling block , holding up the growth of new sectors (Sector 80-115) on Gurugram- Jaipur highway and even adversely impacting the connectivity of Dwarka Expressway. Because of toll plaza, the residents of these areas falling under New Gurugram have been facing daily traffic snarls, besides ending up paying toll tax while going for work or to reach their homes. For this reason, they have been demanding the shifting of toll plaza for the last about 5 years. With the land clearance in place now, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is all set to hand over the land to NHAI for shifting the Kherki Daula toll plaza to Panchgaon.
Says Pradeep Aggarwal, Chairman, Assocham National Council on Real Estate, Housing & Urban Development and Founder & Chairman, Signature Global, ” Besides, deficient infra in the form of roads, piped water, sewage , transportation etc, the residents of New Gurugram have been facing the serious problem of accessibility . But now that the stage is set for the shifting of toll plaza, it will promote ease of living for the residents. Not only that, this significant development will pave the way for the speedy development of the real estate in New Gurugram”.
