Land acquisition boost to Haryana Orbital Rail to propel realty, infra investment



The initiation of the land acquisition process has set the ball rolling for the Haryana Orbital Rail, set to boost real estate and infrastructure development in the Haryana NCR.

 The Union Railway Ministry has issued a notification for the  acquisition of land for the 121 km long  Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor. The first priority is being given to Gurgaon and Palwal districts. This Rs 5600 crore semi high speed rail network  along KMP Eway  will connect Palwal to Sonepat via Sohna, Manesar and Kharkhoda. The rail corridor implemented by Haryana Rail Infra Development Corporation,  with 17 stations will connect to existing railway lines running radially from Delhi. It will have connectivity with all existing rail routes in Haryana like key routes of Delhi- Rewari and Delhi Rohtak. To be completed in 2025, it will transport 20000 passengers and 50MPTA cargo every day.

 Says Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder & Chairman, Signature Global and Chairman Assocham National Council of Real Estate, Housing & Urban Development, “This Orbital Rail Corridor along with Integrated Multimodal Hub coming over 1200 acres at Bawal will provide big boost to realty. Moreover, the Bawal Investment Region and Kundli-Sonepat Investment Region will get a major fillip.
