Improved buyers sentiment to boost residential realty

The rise in buyers’ sentiment following lifting of lockdown has raised the hopes of lifting the fortunes of residential realty.

A recent Consumer Sentiment Survey by leading realty body Naredco says that the residential realty has come out of quarantine. Out of those surveyed ,92% are looking to buy homes. As many as 65% prospective home buyers say that it is the best time to buy a home. Sixty four percent prospective buyers want to buy a home within six months. Out of these 36% are looking to purchase within 3 months. As per survey findings 86% buyers prefer ready-to-move homes. Forty eight percent buyers are looking for affordable 2BHK homes within Rs 60 lakh.

Says Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder & Chairman, Signature Global Group and Chairman Assocham National Council on Real Estate, Housing & Urban Development, ” Latent demand for homes is always there and now home buyers find online property selection easy and less time consuming. The pick up in consumer sentiment will help residential realty recovery gain momentum.
