Haryana Govt. adopts digitization for real estate regulation and details

Digitization has become a topic of several discussions in real estate industry in recent years. Often the discussions are about why the real estate industry needs digitalization, presenting threats and opportunities for the buyers as well as for the developers. Still, land industry is conservative naturally and so far property owners haven’t needed to innovate so as to remain in business.

Likewise, Haryana government is promoting digitization and it would set a benchmark in the country by having entire land records digitized. After implementing e-registry, the Revenue Department has made considerable progress towards implementing a centralized registry system to reduce human interference to the bare minimum. Now with digitized land record, an individual can register their land from any city in the state.

Among other benefits introduced by the government are, the residents of these cities will be able to access the nearest landmark along with the photograph, description and drone image of their property as it will be geo-tagged by just clicking on the property tax management system claim/objection portal. This will restrict the practice of invalid registries and check corrupt malpractices concerned to particular area and category of properties.
