The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) decision to link existing Gurgaon Metro with Delhi Metro’s Blue Line and Airport Expressline, will provide a big connectivity boost to real estate of Gurgaon.
This extension is a part of Gurgaon Metro’s already approved extension from Huda City Centre to Old Gurgaon . From Huda City Centre , the route will cover Subhash Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, Sector, 10, 9, Sector 4, Railway Station , Palam Vihar, Sector 23. As per the earlier plan, the metro link was to be provided from Sector 23 Gurgaon to Sector 24 Dwarka. But now as per thr revised plan, the link will be provided to Sector 21 Dwarka which is an interchange station connecting two lines with Delhi Metro’s Blue Line and Airport Expressline. This link is to be built by Delhi Metro for which feasibility study is on. Meanwhile, the work on extension of existing metro line in Gurgaon up to Sector 23, is expected to start this summer. Gurgaon Metro Extension will be further linked to Rapid Metro at Cyber Hub Gurgaon, Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).
Says Pradeep Aggarwal, Chairman, Assocham National Council of Real Estate, Housing & Urban Development and Founder & Chairman, Signature Global, ” This is great news from the real estate development point of view of Gurgaon. The new plan will open up a wide network of metro lines and rail network in NCR for Gurgaon residents, making commuting much easier and faster. This will in turn make the city much more attractive as a residential destination, leading to the over all growth of the real estate”.
