Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority’s (GMDA) plan to improve mobility in the city, will provide a trigger to the growth of real estate in Gurgaon.
In the post-covid times residents are looking forward to a peaceful and pollution-free life free of traffic congestion in the city. It is in this backdrop that GMDA has chalked out an elaborate plan to improve traffic management with a view to make commuting in the city smoother. The plan involves the facelift of over 100 traffic junctions in the city. In the first phase, 40 traffic junctions will be revamped through median marking, drawing of lane lines, central lane markings, zebra crossings and billboards. GMDA has also planned engineering changes along various key stretches in the city to ensure smooth traffic. These stretches include Saint Felipe Marg, Vikas Marg, near Sector 49, road connecting Dhankot with Delhi- Haryana border, a road stretch through Udyog Vihar, providing connectivity between Sirhaul Toll and Kapashera border. The plan may also include compacting various junctions and intersections across the city to ensure the safety of commuters using non-motorised means.
Says Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal, Chairman, Signature Global and Chairman, Assocham National Council on Real Estate & Housing, ” This is a welcoming initiative on the part of Gurgaon administration. This will help considerably improve traffic movement , ensuring smooth and safe mobility in the city. The pedestrian-friendly plan will also help check pollution . And all this will improve the city’s livability factor, which in turn will boost real estate.
