Dwarka Expressway completion high on government’s agenda

For thousands of residents of Dwarka Expressway, it is a good news that ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, Haryana government is pushing for the completion of the project hanging fire for the last 10 years. It is significant to mention that the Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar is taking personal interest in the expressway project and has held meetings with union highway ninister, Nitin Gadkari and officials of National Highway Authority of India and Gurugram Metro Development Authority (GMDA) to find out ways and means to expedite the completion of the e-way.

Significantly, most of the hurdles on the Gurugram side have been removed, 93 % land has been transferred to NHAI and 90% work on the project has been completed by HUDA. However, work on the Delhi side is held up due to pending approval from Delhi government for transplantation of trees.

Says Pradeep Aggarwal, Chairman, Assocham National Coincil of Real Estate, Housing & Urban Development and Founder & Chairman of Signature Global, “Early completion of Dwarka Expressway will not only appease thosands of aggrieved home buyers but also provide an alternate route between Delhi and Gurugram, providing the much needed connectivity boost to the real estate along the Expressway “.
