The completion and operationalisation of Delhi- Meerut eway will give a big connectivity push to realty in NCR, including the hotspots of Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurgaon.
The work on the 96 km – long 14 lane expressway was started in 2015. The much awaited project has been completed at the cost of Rs 8346 crore in four phases. The 14 km phase 1 stretches between Akshardham Temple and UP Gate. The 19 km phase 2 links UP Gate with Dasna. The 22 km phase 3 is between Dasna and Hapur. Phase 4, 32 km stretches lies between Dasna and Meerut. Phase 4 of the eway is a six-lane access controlled road with 55 underpasses. National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) which undertook the construction of this eway, has installed 5000 street lights on the entire eway stretch. This will reduce the commuting time between Delhi and Meerut by more than half.
Says Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder & Chairman, Signature Global and Chairman, Assocham National Council on Real Estate, Housing and Urban Development, ” This crucial eway, known as NCR’s lifeline was in a slowlane with big traffic congestion and long snarls . But its completion will ensure faster movement , providing mobility boost to Ghaziabad/Noida realty. Moreover, connectivity to Eastern Peripheral Expressway and then on to Delhi-Gurgaon- Jaipur highway, will prove to be a big connectivity booster for the NCR realty”.
