The latest move by the DTCP to check illegal colonies in Gurgaon will help boost affordable housing.
Conceived by the mushrooming of illegal colonies, the Department of Town & Country Planning(DTCP) is putting regulatory mechanism in place. It is bringing 146 villages in Gurgaon under Section 7A of the Haryana Development & Regulation of Urban Areas Act 1975. Under this, the registration of sale deed of a plot which is less than 0.5 acre is not allowed without NOC from DTCP. This is to ensure that agricultural land is not sub-divided to create smaller plots as part of unauthorised colonies.
Apart from affordable housing flats under Haryana Affordable Housing Policy the government has also promoted Housing under Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojna. Signature Global has also come up with premium independent floors in gated society under DDJAY. On Sohna road, Signature Global Park 2 & 3 and Signature Global Park 4 & 5 is offering independent floors in plotted residential complex in affordable prices with stilt car parking and dedicated lifts.
Says Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder & Chairman, Signature Global and Chairman, Assocham National Council on Real Estate, Housing & Urban Development, “This is a welcome move that will help check haphazard and unplanned development of illegal colonies in Gurgaon. In turn, it will bolster regular affordable housing and DDJAY which will help improve living standard, complete with all the basic amenities of tap water, power, sewage and social infrastructure.
