Haryana government’s announcement to make budget allocation for the mega Global City along Dwarka Expressway , will turn to be a major booster for real estate in Gurgaon
The Global City to be developed on the Smart City concept will be spread over 1000 acre of land spread over Garhi Harsaru, Gadholi Khurd, Mohammedpur Jharsa and Khandsa. The land already acquired by Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) lies in Sector 36, 36B, 37 and 37B along Dwarka Expressway. The Global City will have a residential, institutional and industrial investment zones along with a large convention centre. To be funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and developed at a cost of Rs 17328 crore, the Global City will have an investment potential of $15 billion. A major highlight of the project will be a 82 km long MRTS network connecting Gurgaon with Bawal tthrough Manesar on Delhi- Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC)The final development plan was amended and approved in 2019 as a mixed land use project with enhanced FAR of 300 but the pandemic cast its shadow over it.
