Affordable Housing Segment- Still a homebuyer’s choice

Affordable Housing segment is the most preferred choice for the homebuyers. With the shortage of housing in today’s world, the concept of ‘Affordable housing’ appears to be feasible. Affordable housing becomes a key issue especially in developing nations where a majority of the population isn’t able to buy houses at the market price. In today’s world where the expenditure exceeds the earnings, it is hard to get a house. In this uncertain economic scenario, it makes more sense to be prudent in choosing an apartment to ensure it is affordable, considering your salary.

According to the latest report- Affordable housing priced between Rs 45 lakh and Rs 90 lakh is the clear choice of customers in comparison to high-end properties across major cities in the country. Also, a majority of the home buyers prefer buying 2-BHK (bedroom, hall, and kitchen) flats but their number is declining, as the number of people who prefer 3-BHK flats is now on the rise.

Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal, Chairman – ASSOCHAM National Council on Real Estate, Housing and Urban Development, Founder and Chairman – Signature Global India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Being pioneers in Affordable housing segment, the main motto is to provide with the low and affordable cost flats with premium quality and facility and low budget apartments. For this purpose, the government is clearing way for builders to boost the sector. So keeping all this in mind we have already developed more than 16 affordable projects in Delhi-NCR and serving the requirements of homebuyers to make the affordable segment the preferred one.”
