Affordable Housing likely to come from RERA registered brokers

Housing sector in India is overwhelmingly sold by the real estate brokers who show an extended arm for all developers. This Centre’s Housing for All by 2022 scheme initiated by the Government of India is largely dependent on providing affordable housing across India by motivating developers and home-buyers with several schemes, subsidies and benefits.

Indian Real Estate sector is a very different sector which has changed its segment picture from what it was five years back. Before broker’s registration in RERA, customers raised many complaints of brokers for doing wrong commitments to customers for charging high amount ad not delivering their home project on time. This was indeed a great step on broker’s registration in RERA because brokers who made their money out of the ignorance or breaking the trust of the clients have been now removed from the system.

Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal, Chairman – ASSOCHAM National Council on Real Estate, Housing and Urban Development, Founder and Chairman – Signature Global India Pvt. Ltd. said, “This great step for the brokers registration in RERA will ensure customers have all the details of the project to make an informed decision and after working with the RERA registered brokers we analysed the customer’s complaints have reduced to a large extent as homebuyers are now better informed.”
