Along with Delhi, Haryana has been the prime focus for real estate ever since the need for housing increased in the capital. Even before other regions came into focus, Haryana has been ruling the roost with Gurugram, Panipat and Faridabad being the mainstay of real estate because of the proximity of these areas with Delhi. These places still are the formidable part of the NCR’s real estate scenario. The push was provided for affordable housing when the Haryana Cabinet decided to increase the total limit for grant of Affordable Group Housing Colony in a sector from existing 15 acres to 30 acres and extending the Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojna (DDJAY) to Gurugram Development Plan.
Gurugram has been ruling the real estate scene since the early 2000s and still enjoys the same craze about the properties here. A bit of pride factor has always remained with the city and people residing here shows that confidence when they talk about their residence. The city has also lived up to its name and continues to provide homes to people who work in companies, MNCs etc that are in great numbers here. The neighbouring cities of Gurugram such as Sohna have also added to its name and fame. Recently, the demand has grown because of the affordable houses coming here, which was earlier unthinkable. Gurugram will keep on enjoying the proximity with the international airport and also the fact that it is now on the affordable map. Future looks promising then it was earlier.
Focus is already on affordable housing, and that is the reason there are so many schemes floated to help fill the demand gap. And the decision where the minimum area norm for grant of licenses has been reduced will help Gurugram a lot; this is in line with the fact that getting land in bigger chunks becomes difficult for affordable housing due to high land costs. It was yet another step showing the seriousness of Haryana towards fulfilling ‘Housing For All’ goal. The focus is not only to provide affordable housing but with it solve the problem of unorganised colonies cropping up at various places. The state has been taking calculated steps to make sure to come out as well-planned state. All projects under DDJAY by developers like Signature Global start delivering the floors in less than 2 years in phased manner. The company did it in karnal with Sunrise-the premium floors and is ready to do it in Signature Global Park in sector 36, Sohna, South of Gurugram under DDJAY.
Haryana would indeed contribute a lot to the ‘Housing for All’ dream as the state is taking all steps to make sure no hurdle remains in achieving the target. The coming months will surely see more launches under DDJAY by Signature Global as this indeed a segment where maximum demand lies.
