Livability Index of New Gurugram to go up with canal water supply .

The water supply to Gurugram’s new sectors is set to get a major boost with the upcoming water boosting  station to help supply canal water to about two dozen new sectors in the city, in turn improving the living standard of people residing in these sectors.

In the absence of canal water supply, the residents of Sectors 58- 80 have been dependent on ground water and tankers for their daily needs. But now with Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) setting up a water boosting station in Sector 72 and linking it with Water Treatment Plant (WTP) at Chandu Budhera, canal water will reach these sectors. Currently, sectors from 68-80 are temporarily getting restricted supply of canal water from Sector 51 boosting station .

According to GMDA officials, the 240 MLD boosting station being set up at a cost of Rs 69 crore, will be ready in about 4 months time.

Says Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder & Chairman, Signature Global, ” This is welcoming development. As a result of this, thousands of families living in sectors near Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) and Dwarka Expressway will get benefited. This will in turn boost the livability Index of the area”.
